Corruption is everywhere. It's in our communities, our schools, government and companies. Many people all around us have used their power for their personal gain. Determining whether corruption is happening, is something we, as humans don't look for everyday. Why is it that we allow ourselves to be the victims of corruption or stand and watch corruption happen? Perhaps it is because we feel too vulnerable to stand up for what is right. Working hard for something is an achievement, but skipping the journey to that achievement is cheating life. Corruption is cheating life. Many of our idols, and leaders do it as well. Some of the people we look up to the most have unfairly gained their success.. Our idols and leaders don't not seem strong and impressive now, do they? They seem as if they achieved their success in ignorance. For example in the Olympics many athletes have gotten caught for using blood doping to enhance their performance. Using blood doping is an act of corruption. These athletes lie and cheat their way into winning metals when it isn't fair to those athletes who are performing without blood doping. We stand back in the defensive zone and watch corruption happen, there are many corrupt actions that aren't paid enough attention to. Some people corrupt because they fear status, or loss of power would be disruptive. Others corrupt to get to the power they want or to stay in the power they currently hold.
