I am currently reading Elixir, By Hillary Duff. I am only one chapter in, therefore I am finding it hard to describe my character; knowing only a few things about her. The novel is written in first person, written by the main character Clea. I know that she is a understanding person. She has an understanding for others, and puts others into consideration especially her best friend Rayna, . 'Besides even though I knew Rayna would leave in a heartbeat, if I asked her. I also knew it was the last thing in the world that she wanted to do'. (Duff 4)  I also think that she is a very creative person. She loves photography, and in my opinion by her descriptions about her love for the hobby, she is very precise, and creative about her photos. Her creativity in her photos seems expressive. 'My goal is capture what the surface is hiding. There is a soul in every subject, I just have to capture it. ' (Duff 18) Another characteristic that I think portrays the main character, Clea is passionate. She has a real love for her photography. The kind of love that seems very dedicated and emphasized.  In the novel she says, 'It was where I belonged. It felt right,' which proved that she feels, she has found her true passion for something. (Duff 29)

  1. I definitely agree with all of those traits. I have read this book (as you know) and as you get further into it, the traits become a lot more obvious. I'm impressed that you could describe Clea so well only one chapter in! You did a really good job finding quotes that reflect your answers as well. Nice work :)
